March Field Trips

Voyages of Discovery Sailing Trip

When: March 9 , 12:30-3:30pm

This is an amazing historical reenactment adventure for students. It does cost 35.00 per person, and I recommend not bringing little ones. Parents are encouraged to stand back on this ship and let their student figure it out. Come 10-15 minutes early as the ship will set sail at 12:30!

Jacoby Creek Land Trust: Kokte Ranch

When: Thursday, March 25th, 11am-1 pm
Call 268-0854 by Friday, March 12th to sign up for this free event

Science lesson / Possible Tree Planting : Last year a small group from AGCS met a Kokte Ranch and had a wonderful time! We made native seed balls and “planted” them. We planted trees and walked around the land trust. The experience was fun, relaxing, and very informative. I only wish there were more of us. This year I encourage you to try this event. You wont be sorry! Good science activity and learning!

Directions to Kokte Ranch: Take Hwy 101 to Somoa to Bayside
2182 Old Arcata Road. Look for Kokte Ranch Sign.
